The river moves through a variety of climates and land types; from alpine forest to high mountain desert to sheer rock walled canyon; the third deepest in North America. Because of its remote location, man's presence in the area was somewhat limited, leaving it in the condition we see today. Only a few trails, landing strips, private ranches, and Forest Service stations are evidence of man's intrusion.
Trip Packages:
3 Days/2 Nights
Enjoy 3 days on the famous Salmon River and 2 nights at China Bar Lodge. We will pick you up at 9 a.m. at the Corn Creek launch site and return you to Corn Creek at 5 p.m. on the third day. You will travel approximately 100 to 130 miles round trip. All meals and bedding included.
2 Days/1 Night
You spend 2 days on the river and one night at China Bar Lodge. You will leave Corn Creek at 9 a.m. on the first day and return at 5 p.m. on the second day. You will travel approximately 92 miles round trip. Meals and bedding included.
Day Long Trip
Bring your own picnic and enjoy a day on the Salmon River. You will travel approximately 60 miles round trip.
